this is a great dish - really easy to make and quick! I did add some chicken stock when I added all the ingredients to keep it moist

Very tasty but next time I might double the sauce to increase the moisture. Started the carrots with the chicken as they can be a little tough, worked fine. Used pure olive oil as what we had. It worked fine but had to add extra. Overall, a great dish.

I made this today and it was really tasty. I had some leftover cauliflower in my fridge so I used that as well. Also, I didn’t have any honey so I used maple syrup.

And doubled the sauce. Chicken was a little dry ,planning on cooking it, removing from the pan, and putting it back in with the sauce

This was brilliant! I added walnuts with the sesame seeds because I like the added nutrition. I love cornstarch for gravy but didn't add it because I am trying to go 100% NON-GMO. I am not on any diet plan but WAPF (Weston A. Price Foundation) informs my choices. Thank you for this recipe!

You can use white or brown sugar instead of honey. Real Chinese cooking doesn't use honey and honey is expensive.

Easy fast delightful dish. Made according to the recipe, with a bit of hot pepper flakes. Recommend.

Wonderful dish! Made it as written, except doubled the sauce and added some red pepper flakes since we like a little more sauce and spice. This recipe is delicious and is going into our dinner rotation.

My family really liked the subtle flavor of the sauce. I think next time I would add some more veg. I need to feed three men plus myself.

Sorry I misunderstood! Yes, I think tossing the chicken with the cornstarch would work to give the dish texture. Curious to hear your results 🙂

But, I meant tossing the chicken in a ziploc with corn starch before cooking. Then, when added back with the veggies, it would add to the texture to the sauce without getting heavy? I'm no chef, why I was asking! Thank you for your prompt response!! I'll try your suggestion, and mine, in 2 separate pans and let you know! Thank you again! I can't wait to experiment! You Rock! 🙂

Yes! You can mix 1-2 teaspoons of cornstarch into the sauce, just whisk well to dissolve before adding to the sauce.

The recipie was so good I cook meatless and the only chikin I had on hand was a bbque cihkin it was kind of spicy so I separated it from the main dish it all came together beautifully I also used two heads of bok choy they do seem to disappear when you stir fry them lol kudos to your recipe compai to you

Awesome for a base recipe!
I totally tweaked it and added way more veggies and used tofu instead of chicken!
So a good starter recipe if you don’t quite know how to cook!

Hi Paul! You are are absolutely right that toasted sesame oil will burn. The recipe post and notes state "Be sure to use LIGHT sesame oil instead of dark sesame oil for this stir-fry" and goes on to explain you need an oil with a high smoke point.
