I just watched your video on pinto beans. WOW! 25 minutes? That is totally a game changer. And, no soaking over night. I am so excited to try your recipe. I have subscribed to your yahoo channel and signed up for your newsletter.
Thank you so much for sharing your skills!

I am new to this amazing multi cooker and really was apprehensive about where to start. I’ve made a couple of slow cooker meals which turned out great. Now I am going to get to grips with the one pot pressure cooking facility. You explain everything so beautifully, it leaves me full of enthusiasm and excitement to get cooking. I love the chicken and rice recipe, that’s going to be my next meal, probably tomorrow as we have been out with my kids for Mother’s Day lunch today. So again thank you for all of your hard work on this subject. I am sure there are many people taking your tips and recipes on board.

Hi Kathy! That will depend on the model you have. I would suggest using the manual or pressure cook button and then use the +/- buttons to adjust until it reads "2". If you don't have a model with manual or pressure cook, please let me know and I can walk you through your specific model 🙂

Yes, most electric pressure cookers work very similarly.

Hi Carol! These tips are designed for electric pressure cookers, not traditional stove-top models. But they may help you decide if you want an electric pressure cooker in the future.

I have it pretty well mastered but would like additional tips. In the future I may purchase an electric.
Thank you.

Hi Linda! I hope you enjoy your adventure and I know you will love your instant pot. I have a recipe for Instant Pot Spaghetti. It can be halved for a smaller crowd, or you can prepare the entire batch.

We got a three quart IP for going camping in a sprinter (get it in November). Want to count on making spaghetti with sauce. Don’t have a handle on the sauce/water/pasta amounts. Small rig. Don’t have room for a lot of ingredients!

Thanks so much Kristen!
I tried all the trouble-shooting and replaced the Ring. Not go. But now I'm in touch with Instant Pot and they are helping solve the issue by email. I didn't know how much I loved this thing until I couldn't use it!
Hope you are well!
Maryla

Hi Maryla! That is a very common issue. I do have a post that helps troubleshoot that very issue. It sounds like the seal is not on correctly or may have a tear--it may be best to replace the ring to see if that solves the issue.

This might not be an appropriate question for this space but I wondered if you have experience with your IP not sealing? My started out sometimes "leaking" and when I tightened up the lid, it would be fine. Now, steam comes out of the top sealing button and is steaming out a LOT. I tried freezing the sealing ring for 30 min. That didn't really help. I'll replace the ring but I wonder if there can be problems with the button on top? Have you experienced this?
