Whip up this rich, creamy 3-ingredient Cream Cheese Apple Dip in less than 5 minutes! And while this cream cheese dip is the obvious choice for apples, it also pairs well with assorted fruits, pretzels, and graham crackers.
Just like Dill Dip is the perfect compliment to raw veggies, this Cream Cheese Apple Dip pairs beautifully with the natural flavors of fresh apples.

One of the highlights of the fall season for me is fresh apples! I love visiting apple orchards, picking fresh apples, and enjoying a warm mug of mulled cider.
And while I always showcase orchard fresh apples in Apple Crisp and Dutch Apple Pie, I can't let the season pass without enjoying this simple cream cheese apple dip paired with fresh apples.
Why You Will Love Cream Cheese Apple Dip
- Simple. It couldn't be easier to whip up this dip. The fact you only need three ingredients is an added bonus!
- Party-Favorite. Everyone loves this creamy, rich, thick apple dip! It is always a crowd-pleasing dish that couldn't be easier to prepare.
- Versatile Fruit Dip. No fresh apples? This cream cheese dip pairs beautifully with other fruits and also compliments pretzels and graham crackers well.
Ingredients in Apple Dip

- Cream Cheese: Use full-fat or Neufchatel (reduced-fat) cream cheese. Fat-free cream cheese is not recommended for this recipe. It is essential that the cream cheese is at room temperature to blend into the dip easily.
- Brown Sugar: Brown sugar will blend into the cream cheese easily and give this fruit dip a rich, almost toffee-like flavor.
- Vanilla Extract: Be sure it is pure, not imitation, for the best flavor.
Dress It Up
Top this Cream Cheese Apple Dip with chopped toffee, chopped nuts, chopped chocolate, and/or a drizzle of caramel to add visual appeal, texture, and a bit of added deliciousness!
Tip for Making the Creamiest Apple Dip
This Cream Cheese Apple Dip is extremely easy to make. However, you must ensure your cream cheese is at room temperature before preparing the apple dip. Plan to leave your cream cheese out for 1-2 hours at room temperature before preparing this recipe. That will ensure your dip is smooth and creamy once the ingredients are combined together.

How to Serve Cream Cheese Apple Dip
It is best to allow the apple dip to chill for 30 minutes prior to serving, to allow the flavors times to incorporate. However, I can attest that if you dig in right away, the dip will still be delicious!
For serving, I recommend transferring the cream cheese apple dip to a shallow serving dish, which makes for easier dipping. Top with toffee bits, chopped nuts, chocolate, caramel, etc.
Serve this cream cheese dip with sliced apples, graham crackers, pretzels, or strawberries.

What Apples are Best for Dipping?
My favorite apples to pair with this dip are Braeburn, Envy, Honeycrisp, or Pink Lady. But if you are in the mood for a tart contrast to the sweet dip use Granny Smith apples.
How to Prepare Apples for Dipping
Instead of soaking apple slices in lemon juice, which can give the apples an overwhelming tartness, I recommend soaking the apple slices in pineapple juice. The pineapple juice's ascorbic acid will help keep the apples from browning without adding a tart flavor to the apples.
- Wash and dry the apples.
- Core and slice the apples into wedges.
- Place the apple slices into a shallow bowl and cover with pineapple juice.
- Let soak for 20 minutes.
- Drain off the juice from the apples and serve immediately.

I love the pineapple juice tip. There is nothing worse than serving brown apples at a party. This is such a great recipe! It's easy to always have apples and cream cheese on hand ready to go. I love having something I can pull out of the fridge when company shows up or we have a last minute something or other to attend. Thank you.
