Grilled Peaches with Cinnamon Sugar is the ULTIMATE easy summer dessert recipe! Kissed with cinnamon sugar and grilled until caramelized, grilled peaches are one of the easiest, yet tastiest ways to enjoy a summer peach.
When you fire up the grill to make burgers or BBQ chicken, be sure to throw some peaches on the grill as well. They are delicious whether served plain or topped with a scoop of No-Churn Vanilla Ice Cream.

Fresh summer peaches are delicious when served in Peach Crisp, Peach Cobbler, or just eaten on the pack porch as an afternoon snack. But nothing compares to a grilled peach.
While summer peaches are delicious on their own, grilling peaches transforms this already delectable fruit into a memorable dessert. You can go the extra mile and top with homemade vanilla ice cream, no-churn vanilla ice cream, or fresh whipped cream.
Why You Must Try Grilled Peaches
- Enhances the flavor. Grilling any fruit is a great way to bring out the natural sweetness and slightly caramelize the fruit perfectly. And when you start with an already sweet peach, you are in for an extra sweet treat!
- Insanely easy recipe. With minimal effort and a grill or grill pan, fresh peaches are transformed into a memorable dessert.
- Perfect for under-ripe peaches. Grilling peaches happens to be a great hack for helping to develop the sweetness of a peach that is just under-ripe.
Notes On Ingredients
You don't need anything more than peaches and a bit of oil to make delicious grilled peaches, but adding a bit of cinnamon and sugar amps up the sweetness, turning a grilled peach into a decadent dessert.

- Peaches: Select a firm, yet ripe freestone peach. This will allow the peach to be sturdy enough to stand up to the grilling process but still have optimum flavor. A freestone peach can be an Eastern, Southern, or Californian variety of peaches.
- Oil: You need a bit of oil to prevent the peaches from sticking to the grill. While butter is delicious on peaches, it can burn easily, so oil is the way to go. You can use canola oil, vegetable oil, or olive oil. Even a nonstick cooking spray works.
- Cinnamon Sugar: If desired, combine brown sugar or granulated sugar and cinnamon to create a spiced sweet topping for the peaches.
- Toppings: I love adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a drizzle of honey, and some toasted nuts for crunch to turn my grilled peach into a delicious sundae. Of course, the option is yours!
Not in the mood for dessert?
Skip the cinnamon and sugar and enjoy your grilled peach diced up in a salad or with fresh mozzarella and a drizzle of balsamic.
How to Grill Peaches
Step One: Prepare the Peaches. When it comes to grilling peaches, you need to cut the peaches in half and remove the pit.
- Cut the peach in half. Much like cutting an avocado, cut the peach in half by running a knife around the circumference and then twisting it open.
- Remove the Pit. To remove the pit easily, I like to use a melon baller or cookie scoop to scoop out the pit of the peach. It is much easier than trying to cut away the peach pit. Unlike an avocado, the pit of a peach can not be removed by putting your knife in the pit and twisting. This will just cause the pit to break apart.

Step Two: Season Peaches. As I stated earlier, you only need to brush your peaches with a bit of oil before grilling. But if desired, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar after brushing the peaches with oil.

Step Three: Grill Peaches. It is best to grill peaches cut side down over medium heat. You just want to grill the peaches until char marks form and the peaches are slightly softened. This is just long enough to enhance the natural sweetness of the peach and add a bit of smokey flavor. If you grill the peaches longer, they can quickly turn to mush.

Step Four. Serve. Grilled peaches are best served warm, right from the grill. And in my book, you can't go wrong adding a scoop of creamy, homemade vanilla ice cream, a drizzle of honey, and chopped walnuts.

More Ways to Serve Grilled Peaches
- Grilled Peach Salad: Skip the cinnamon sugar and after grilling, chop the peaches into bite-sized pieces. Toss with arugula or spinach and chunks of mozzarella and serve with Balsamic Vinaigrette. Or replace the apples in this kale salad recipe.
- Peach Parfait: Layer chopped grilled peaches with Greek yogurt and homemade granola, for an easy, healthy snack for breakfast.
- Peach Oatmeal: Top Instant Pot Oatmeal, Instant Pot Steel Cut Oats, or Overnight Oats with diced grilled peaches. This is a great idea for any leftover grilled peaches you may have.
- Peach Pancakes: Top whole wheat pancakes or whole wheat waffles with diced grilled peaches and maple syrup for one amazing breakfast.
